John Dickson ::

Making eLearning that Works for your Company

This session will look to pick the brains of all attending - if you don't participate it won't last long! We'll be looking at a variety of topics relating to the production of eLearning; largely from an Authorware viewpoint. Attendees should come willing to talk about how they work, their problems and their solutions. I will be talking largely from a corporate perspective but would encourage input from all viewpoints.

   Getting the most out of your resources
   Multiskilled or specialist - your approach to development teams
   Empowering teams
   So your budget is £0 ($0 - exchange rate correct at time of publishing)
   In defence of the page turner
   Instructionally sound eLearning
   Increasing productivity - Models, Dynamic code, Commands and KOs
   Are you good value for money?

John Dickson

I have been using Authorware for a long time. Graduating from Edinburgh University with a Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering I then completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Training and Multimedia at Heriot-Watt University (Edinburgh). That was 1993 and I guess that was before they coined the term eLearning!

I am now the eLearning Development Team Leader at AEGON UK, a large financial services company. I have been a user and advocate of Authorware since APW2.01M AFAIR. I worked on a wide range of eLearning projects for a number of Scottish Universities before joining corporate life in 1998.
