Johann Fouche , Director, Active Touch: | |

Johann has been extensively involved in educational computing since 1978. At the end of 1994, his entry Why CBT in the Department of Education was awarded Best International as well as Best Overall in the Annual International Ask Me Multimedia PC Users Group Contest, held in Minneapolis, USA. He also received the Siemens Nixdorf Development Prize for the Best Student: Software Development at the University of Pretoria, where he received his Masters Degree in Computer Assisted Education (cum laude). His entry "Archaeology 210" was judged Best Computer Based Education Project in a competition hosted by the Southern African Association for Research and Development in Higher Education. Johann has extensive programming experience in Authorware, including several years running his own company - Johann Fouche Multimedia - focusing on Authorware Training and software support. Before Johann joined Active Touch in 2000 as Director: Technical Services, he was head of Interactive Multimedia Development at the Bureau for Academic Support Services (later Telematic Education) at the University of Pretoria. |
