Macromedia Affiliate - Purchase software

Edward van Dessel ::

Functions and subroutines in Authorware from version 5 onwards

Edward is going to discuss the wonderful new User Defined Functions introduced in Authorware 6.5. He is planing to make this a hands-on session so bring your laptops! In addition to some real-life code, you will learn more about functions in Authorware including:

• History
• Different types of functions and subs
• when to use what
• Pro's/con's

Edward van Dessel started working as a teacher in Social Sciences at a trade school. After a couple of years he was asked to look at this software called Authorware to see if it was something that could be used for teaching projects.

He liked it so much that he started producing his first title in his free time. After 2 years He quit his job as a teacher and started working as a developer for NIAM-TMS, a Multimedia Development company and Macromedia Value Added Reseller. There he developed several titles and gave Authorware training.

These days Edward works as an independant contractor and stresses "and I'm happy :-)"

Edward is one of the founders of EuroTAAC.

You should be aware that this presentation will be on the advanced side; to carefully misquote Edward:-

"attendees must have the ambitions to become a (part-time) code-head and they have to be comfortable around lists. It might also be a good idea to first attend Bart van de Rotsheide's presentation in the morning."
